Looking back on the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge

About the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge, January 2016.
Looking back, I do agree it was quite the challenge. I would stay up late every night until I finished each painting for that particular day. At work during my breaks, I would sketch each work to make it easier when I got home to just start painting. While it's done, my job is to continue the momentum and flow of creativity.

While you may not see a new painting every day, they ARE definitely in the works. For now, I'm scanning and will be posting them for sale in my Etsy Shop: spygirl915. Will also be offered as prints and greeting cards.

Thanks for stopping in! ๐Ÿ˜€๐ŸŽจ

30 Paintings in 30 Days : Wrap Up

The End of the 30 Paintings in
     30 Days Challenge January 2016

Well, today's the day I can reflect upon my monthlong journey into creativity. The goal was to paint 30 paintings, I painted 25. I learned a lot of things like how to paint faster, think quickly about subject matter, perseverance and staying focused on my goals and the end result.

Thank you for checking out my blog.

All works are available for sale.

30 Paintings in 30 Days #25

                     "Truro Sunset"

             Acrylic on Canvas, 6x6"

This scene was from Cornhill Beach in Truro, at the Cape. It was a warm July evening and we sipped on wine as we watching the sun setting over the glistening water. We weren't the only ones who enjoyed it, the beach filled up quickly, with other spectators, who also anticipated the setting sun. Behind us a group of people built a campfire on the beach and roasted marshmallows. It was truly an inspiring moment!

30 Paintings in 30 Days #24

"All in a Row"           Watercolor and Ink, 4x6 Coldpress Paper

Usually I paint my Rowboat Paintings with Acrylic paints, but this time I decided to try it out using watercolor paints. It definitely has a different feel and look to it compared to my other rowboat paintings. This is Day 24 of the 30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge. While I'm a little behind, I'm doing my best and having fun with it! :) You can find my work on eBay and Etsy, just search: spygirl915 or Renee Rutana. Thanks for stoping by!

30 Paintings in 30 Days #23

                      "Beach Walk"
              Acrylic on Canvas, 6x6"

This piece was from Sandy a Neck Beach, also known as Bodfish Park in Barnstable, at the Cape (Cod) in Massachusetts.

It was a nice day at the beach, the last day of our vacation. On the way back home, I saw this beach, the last one before leaving the Cape. I decided we would have one last round of Cape Cod (we really didn't want to go home). One of my most favorite places! ๐Ÿ’™.

30 Paintings in 30 Days Challenge #22

                    "First Flowers"

                Acrylic on Canvas, 6x6"

Every year after a long Winter, I patiently await the arrival of my Crocuses. When they finally sprout up, I know Spring is on its way. I must admit, this Winter has been relatively mild compared to a typical Massachusetts Winter.
